Most of us Nepali folks are abroad, building our lives and our careers. But our parents are back home. And if you are anything like us, their health is a constant worry.
It is not the lack of medical expertise in Nepal. What is missing is the experience: the continuity, the coordination, the peace of mind that someone truly has you.
We are building the clinic experience we always wished existed in Nepal. White glove service. Complete care. Zero surprises.
We do not try to do everything. We do two things exceptionally well.
16 years ago, I left Nepal for better opportunities in the United States. After serving as a combat medic, I moved into civilian healthcare, starting as a medical scribe in an emergency room. From there, I worked my way through different corners of the healthcare system, learning how it operates from the ground up.
Through all of it, one thing stayed with me: the worry about my parents' health back home in Nepal. Every visit, I saw the same story. Brilliant doctors. Dedicated staff. But an experience that needed work.
So after 16 years of learning healthcare delivery from nearly every angle, from combat medicine to hospital operations, I decided to put that experience to use where it mattered most to me. Shoolin Clinic is my answer, built on the belief that every Nepali family deserves exceptional care, delivered with dignity.
The need is national. The WHO’s STEPS survey of Nepal found that roughly 1 in 4 Nepali adults has raised blood pressure, and far too few are under regular, coordinated management.
Answer 15 quick questions about your parents' care in Nepal. This check measures the three things that decide whether a parent with diabetes or high blood pressure stays healthy: regular monitoring, medication and follow-up discipline, and someone actually coordinating their care.
